I know I said that I was done posting about American Idol, but there is so much news out there I figured I’d go ahead and make one more post since there were so many interesting stories out there.
- Adam says his “sexuality” probably cost him the win? – Well golly, you think so? Actually I think it did probably hurt him. But I agree with Perez Hilton, or maybe he agrees with me since I said it first, Kris won because Danny fans voted for him.
- Queen’s Brian May talks about the possibility of Adam Lambert going out as front man for
Queen.
- Let’s face it. This would be great for Queen, but no so great for Adam Lambert. Queen hasn’t been relevant since Wayne’s World came out and it made Bohemian Rhapsody a hit again. On the other hand Adam is very relevant now. I don’t know if the idea of him working with Queen is altogether a bad thing, but joining the band isn’t a good move for him. - Gene Simmon’s of KISS says Adam is no rock singer- Simmons goes on to say that he better suited to be a balladeer or a Broadway singer. Hmmm Broadway, I’m sure no one has even mentioned that and Lambert’s name in the same sentence good one Gene,
- Clay Aiken apperantly has some issues with Adam Lambert- I doubt that this really bothered Adam Lambert that much.
- Kris Allen just wants to be respected- I can’t say I blame him.

I have to say, I think you have it backwards.
Maybe in the here & now, but in the long run I think it would be way worse for Queen to have Adam Lambert as a front man.

Adam did not say his sexuality cost him the win (watch the first Larry King interview).
Adam’s a cool cat but Queen is not the place to start if you want to have a successful solo career. A few special tour dates wouldn’t hurt anyone (get off your pretend cool high horses) but that’s all. Adam’s a collaborator and May said he would like to WORK with him in future – maybe Adam will provide guest vocals for their next album and/or May will lay down a few guitar riffs for his album.
KISS invited Adam to join them on tour anytime but Gene also said Adam’s more of a pop artist than a rock artist which makes absolute sense seeing as Adam himself said despite predominantly listening to and singing rock, he essentially wants to have a ‘pop’ career. Adam’s fronted a metal band, an alt rock band & a glamrock band as well as covering almost every genre that exists solo. I can see him making darker Depeche Mode-esque music. I hope he continues to change his sound and image. He has potential to be a male Madonna, IMHO.

Err, wow. I think you took my comment the wrong way. None of it was targetted at you but at the articles and intended for all readers.

Adam Lambert is a very talented guy. I think that he will be recognized as such. I found it a hard decision myself to choose the winner and it could of gone either way. Though, I wished Adam would have gone all the way with Idol.
Though, I don't think his career will suffer because of it. I think he is getting his music across to the public which is what any entertainer wants.
It was nice to see Simon giving a standing ovation on the Mad World performance. He is a hard critic and at least he recognizes Adam's talent.

SUre Adam is talented, but right now he is a novelty act. I hope we see more from him that is of substance.

I will admit that American Idol is getting a little old but I still like it because it is an “easy” watch for me.
