Well another season of The Office has come and gone, and I have to say it wasn’t all rosy. I guess all’s well that ends well. This season had more ups and downs for me than any previous season. At one point it looked as if everything was going to be shaken up for good, only for the status quo to be returned. I love The Office, and I can’t think there is much that would make me stop watching it, that being said I did question it’s brilliance a little this season.
Last night’s season finale, Company Picnic was a pretty great episode which gave us some hints at next season. Spoiler alert. Stop reading right now if you are waiting to watch this. It looks like Jim and Pam are pregnet. I’m not sure
how a x-ray from a volleyball injury would tell you that, and we didn’t get actual confirmation, but I can’t think of anything else that would make them that excited. We also saw Dwight standing up for Angela again. She was being picked on by Dwight’s new best friend, played by James Urbaniak (who is just awesome in Henry Fool) and Dwight tells him to leave her alone. You could almost see some of the ice melting around Angela’s heart. I’m not going to be at all surprised if this relationship flares back up again next season.
This episode also saw the long awaited return of Holly. She shows up at the company picnic with her boyfriend A.J. played by Rob Huebel. It’s a shame that they didn’t do more with this. Anyone who’s ever watched Best Week Ever or Human Giant know just how funny Rob Huebel is, and it seemed like such a waste to have him do nothing. This guy is funny, let him be that way. I thought it would have been great if they made Michael threatened not only by the fact that he was dating Holly, but also by the fact that he might be funnier that Michael is. Of course Michael is still in love with Holly and he plans to find the perfect time to let her know. The two are charged with doing a skit about the history of Dunder-Mifflin, which of course is a disaster. Aside from not being funny, they inform the Buffalo branch that they are shutting down. It’s a train wreck from start to finish.
The season finale of The Office was a great episode, not one of the greatest, but a great episode none the less.

When a woman of child-bearing age goes in to be x-rayed they will often do a pregnancy test to be sure she’s not pregnant because x-rays can cause birth defects. Especially if she’s sexually active.

Well there’s my answer.
