After taking a year off, American Idol’s charity show, “Idol Gives Back” is returning for the 9th season.
The charity show will take place on April 21st. The charities that will benefit this year will be: Children’s
Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children and the United Nations Foundation.
Of course this is always a star studded event with huge stars from TV, movies, comedy, and of course music participating. No word yet on who will be there, but you can bet that the line-up will be huge.
In addition to the fundraising, the April 21 show also will feature that week’s voting results and the elimination of a finalist.
American Idol returns in January for its ninth season with Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi (boo), and the very funny new judge Ellen DeGeneres. Of course you will be able to catch full run-downs, commentary, and reviews of each episode of American Idol right here on JoeOnTheTube.com, just like last season.
