Only 6 couples are left and tonight they have two performances. Tomorrow the six dancers with the lowest votes will dance for their lives and the judges will decide who will be going home. Tonight is the last night they will dance with their orignal partners. First couple to dance Elenore & Ryan. They do the lindy hop by Carla Heiny. Song – “I’ve Got To Be A Rug Cutter” by Boilermaker Jazz Band. Cute dance, but not good enough for the competition. They had a near fall on their first lift.
Adam – Fantastic start to the show.
Mary – Great job.
Nigel – I thought it was terrible that we haven’t had the lindy hop on this season.
Kathryn & Legacy drew jazz by Sonya Tayeh. Song – “So Deep” by Hot Chip. They have on these weird 80’s costumes. Sonya incorporated a lot of Legacy’s b-boy moves. I really wanted to like this routine, but it was just okay to me. I am not sure what was missing.
Adam – What a great routine. That was awesome.
Mar y – Outstanding!
Nigel – One of my favorite routines of the season.
Victor & Karen drew tango by Melanie Lapatin & Tony Meredith. Song – “Montserrat” by Orquesta del Plata. The routine was fun and danced well and I don’t like ballroom.
Adam – Good work!
Mary – It was really good.
Nigel – Beautiful to watch.
Nathan & Mollee drew hip hop by Jamal Sims. Song – “Ring-A-Ling” by Black Eyed Peas. They look so young! It was a fun dance. Nathan split his pants.
Adam – I enjoyed watching you guys.
Mary – It picked up steam as it went along. Really enjoyed performance.
Nigel – I think that you are both really good dancers. This felt a little young to me.
Noelle & Russell drew samba by Tony Meredith & Melanie Lapatin. Song – “Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira. Noelle was practically naked! This dance was hard to watch. It just wasn’t their style and you could tell they weren’t comfortable. It was very stiff.
Adam – It was too nice.
Mary – I was a little disappointed.
Nigel – I needed more sex & sensuality.
Ashleigh & Jakob drew lyrical jazz by Sonya Tayeh. Song – “Time Flies” by Lykke Li. Pretty dance, but horrible song! Even though I didn’t like the song this is my favorite dance of the night (so far).
Adam – That was so beautiful I don’t know what to say right now.
Mary – She liked it, but I can’t remember what she said.
Nigel – This was my favorite routine.
Elenore & Ryan drew broadway by Spencer something for their second dance. Song – “Razzle Dazzle” from the Chicago Broadway Soundtrack. Ehh. I liked the song, but I thought the dance could have been more exciting.
Adam – You nailed it, beautifully done.
Mary – Holy smokes.
Nigel – Loved the choreography and loved you two.
Kathryn & Legacy drew Viennese Waltz by Jean-Marc Genereaux & France Mousseau. Song – “Your Guardian Angel” by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Kathryn did really well. Legacy just looked uncomfortable. They did great on the lifts. And Legacy cried!! Boo!! I hate man tears!!
Adam – Legacy – extraordinary attempt. Kathryn – this is a great night for you.
Mary – Wasn’t the best viennese waltz.
Nigel – I don’t even know what he said.
Victor & Karen drew hip hop by Lorianne Gibson. Song – “Moving Mountains” by Usher. Not my favorite hip hop. I think it didn’t help that it was slow hip hop.
Adam – Something didn’t match the music.
Mary – It was okay.
Nigel – Can’t say anything positive.
Mollee & Nathan drew cancan (first time ever on this show) by Tyce Diorio. Song – “Cancan Suite” by Offenbach/Ponchielli. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Just stick to the regular styles of dance. They did dance it very well, but how do I know what this is supossed to look like. At least it was better than the Russian dance from last season.
Adam – Congratulations, it was really really good.
Mary – It was so enjoyable.
Nigel – You did it with all of the energy & enthusiasm that routine required.
Russell & Noelle drew contemporary by Tyce Diorio. Song – “A Case of You” by Diana Krall. I really liked this one. It was just beautiful.
Adam – You guys were just gorgeous
Mary – It was really special for me too
Nigel – You left us with something to remember you by.
Ashleigh & Jakob were the last to go and they drew the cha-cha by Jean-Marc Genereaux & France Mousseau. Song – “Cha Cha Heels (Ralphi Rosario Radio Edit) By Rosabel fet. Jeanie Tracy. I think this is Ashleigh’s style. It was pretty good. Their last dance was much better. I just don’t like ballroom, so I am not a fair judge.
Adam – This is Ashleigh’s world and we are all just visiting. You guys killed it.
Mary – Without questions you guys have just blown it out of the ballpark tonight.
Nigel – They may have been a cha cha but you are waltzing through to the top 10.
My guess for the bottom three couples:
Mollee & Nathan
Ryan & Elenore
Karen & Victor
